Temperley Homes, a Canberra based construction Company was established in 2011 and is owned and operated by Carly Dewey. Focusing on residential knock down rebuilds and new builds with a sprinkling of high end renovations. Temperley Homes insists on high quality finishes, workmanship and inclusions.
Our goal is not only to provide high end services and results, but to create a welcoming and inclusive environment along the way. Our clients wellbeing and satisfaction are of utmost importance.
Meet the team
Carly Dewey
Builder / Director
Carly Dewey is the woman behind both Temperley Homes and She Builds Homes.
Carly started building as a licensed builder in 2011. After being in and around the industry all her life it felt like a natural career path. With over 15 years experience in commercial and residential construction, Carly has an innate sense of what works for Canberran family homes.
Carly has a passion for taking a space or an idea and turning it into a meaningful and beautiful home.
When she’s not building Carly enjoys pottering around her farmhouse (renovated in 2018 but there is ALWAYS a project to do) with her Husband Nick and their three little boys.
Tanya Hamilton
Administration Manager
Tanya is the Administration Manager at Temperley Homes, supporting the business with a calm, organised and solutions-focused approach.
With experience across public service, administration and business ownership, Tanya brings a strong understanding of what it takes to run a professional and people-focused business. She has always had a love for homes and design and enjoys helping turn client's dreams into their reality.
Tanya values honesty, integrity and approachability and enjoys working closely with Carly to support her vision for a growing, inclusive and female-led building company.
When she’s not at work, Tanya enjoys family life with her husband, three teenage boys and their blue heeler, spending weekends around AFL, gardening, being creative at home and planning future adventures.

A Construction Company is never a one or two (wo)man operation. Temperley Homes engages a whole host of specialised professional sub trades to get our jobs done. These Subbies have often been working with Temperley Homes for many years and have done for good reason.
We pride ourselves on the feedback we receive from clients about our trades. It’s always ‘wow, they are such a lovely person!’ and never *insert a sad comment about a tradie with an ego….
We are selective with who we choose to work with so that not only can we deliver top notch results but also so that the process along the way is as smooth and easy as possible for all involved.
We are passionate about gender equality specifically in the construction industry and so will work with as many female trades as possible. More than that though - we really only work with good humans.
